The Lake County Extension Foundation’s sole mission is to encourage and raise funds to support the University of Illinois Extension Lake County.

Extension provides programs in Horticulture (Master Gardeners), Youth Development (4-H & Urban), Consumer & Family Economics, Nutrition/Wellness.

Lake County Extension is located at the intersections of 120/45 in Grayslake.

"Extension Funding Crisis"
Calling all 4H clubs and other Extension Programs to help!

Immediate and drastic impact on Lake County Extension. The Extension has been told we will not receive the $12.8 million in matching funds which the IL General Assembly already approved. These state funds are for 2008. This dollar-for-dollar match makes up about 50% of every county Extension budget. For Lake County Extension this will require a 44% reduction nearly three-fourths of the way through Fiscal Year 2008.
